1.5 hours of Bikhram Yoga this morning.....

Holy hell that is one hot room!  About halfway through I thought I may barf my guts out!  The instructor told me that the goal in your first class was not to worry about the posture but just to manage the mind within the heat.  He said a lot of people start to panic and freak out after 15 minutes.  I clearly could not do all of the postures with my still obese body but I did about 1/3 of them, tried my hardest on another 1/3 and just skipped the last 1/3.  I thought I would die but I survived and I felt great afterward!

Here is a picture of me afterward!  It hardly tells the story since this is about an hour afterward!  I was drenched head to toe in sweat!  Ignore the terrible bags under my eyes...I had been at a late night wedding the night prior!

I swore that this surgery would open the door to me stepping outside of my social anxiety and trying new things!  Yay me!

This reminds me of the craze of exercising with saran wrap on to increase sweating. All it did was increase electrolyte disturbances.

Congratulations on surviving.

It is amazing the uses our sick twisted minds found for saran wrap!  LOL

I have a couple of family members who swear hot yoga answers many of their prayers, exercise wise!  Good for you!

Way to go!

I am hoping as I get settled into city life I can find interesting things like this to do.

Keep up the good work.

Could someone tell me what a VSG is?? Thanks
