Hi there, I had my surgery on Friday, discharged on Sunday in pain. Ended up in the emerg @ Humber on Tues. I had a fever & nausea due to the morphine pills they sent me home with & the ct scan was good except for I was told the a couple extra stitches they put in are into muscle. Talk about an awful pain.....it feels like it pulls & burns when I get up & walk. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this??? Now I have a huge "indent" & hope it doesn't take long to heal!!!

Oh yeah a few of mine were and the suture material was thick as can be. One of the doctors on rounds mentioned my tough hide. Hurt coming out too and took I suppose around a month to heal and six or seven weeks to lose the scabs. I still get the odd twinge now and again. Be tough and let the process happen. No one said this journey would be an easy one. It gets better so hang in there.

I don't have any sutures to come out thank god! Ouch, that would have been painful for you. I feel great now other than this one bloody incision. I heard that when it goes into muscle it hurts for a while. One day at a time I guess. Thanks for your reply

I still have an indent  years later, but there was/is no pain involved.

I have no abdominal muscles so it wasn't an issue.
