weight gain
Almost 5 years post, never obtained my goal weight ( very reasonable goal weight) ie. never got under the 200 lbs mark. Recently started to gain back (65lbs) to be exact. Started back at the weight loss clinic in Ottawa with optiffast. 9 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Hopefully back on track permanently. Sorry for the negative news but had to come clean with myself and move forward. Sometimes its admitted your problems that you can effectively deal with them.
You don't have to apologize for "negative news". Coming here is a good step to move forward.
Would it help you to post on the "What are you doing/eating today" thread? Maybe keep you on plan or perhaps honest about what you are eating?
Do you recognize the areas where you need help? Do you have specific plans?
Keep coming here for support!!!

I agree that a confession helps put a period at the end of a sentence. (See my previous post re Sugar Binge).
You're not the only person this has happened to. Your journey will be very interesting. Please keep sharing !

Sounds to me like you are certainly making all the right decisions now; going back to the clinic, getting back on track and coming online for support. I hope that whatever caused you to go off the program is now behind you. Join one of the support groups and get a wls buddy because I think that would also help. Nothing like talking and sharing your thoughts both positive and negative with someone else who completely gets it.
Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi I just realized where you hail from. I'm originally from Portland (at least most of my life) now in Ottawa. I think I'm back making the right moves and my mind is in a better place. I lost 150lbs in 8 months and then never moved. I found that with other things going on in my life (ps never gained anything back either) for over 2 years post my loss, that I went through a major depression and unfortunately had no Dr to see since mine had retired. That has since changed and now I'm back on track. Disappointed in myself that I gained any of the weight but this may be an avenue to help me loose quicker, and help me feel in more control of my weight loss. I knew that when I started that it was a life long committment and struggle. My goals are realistic, I have never wanted to be a size 0 just to be under the 200lb mark and feeling healthier. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I know its hard to respond to negative results when your'e struggling to stay in line yourself(my new montra: day by day).
Hugs,
thanks for posting. You're not alone gaining, just most people don't come here with this problem. Keep in touch.
P.S. they do revisions to DS actually and you might qualify, given the previous wls attempt. Dr. Gagner in Montreal does it lap nowadays. OHIP covers, but ain't easy to get approved. One of my OH friends got approved by Dent and already revised in Montreal.
Good luck!
