OT Reccommend a good book??

I have nothing to read right now and need some suggestions.  I am done reading anything too deep or intense, having finished a long string of Khaled Housseini, Rohinton Mistry, and others.

I am in the mood for something fun, or just something entertaining.  Maybe a post-apocalytic, or dystopian themed novel,or a British rom-com??

Anybody have anything good??

Have you read any of Emily Giffin's novels?  They are just fun chick lit.  When I want something mellow, I usually read something by her or even something by Jennifer Weiner.

Hey Tracey.  Yes, I have read everything by Emily Griffin.  Good stuff.  I have always enjoyed her books for an easy read.  I forgot about Jennifer Weiner.  Good suggestion.  I read "Good in Bed" and enjoyed it, so maybe I'll giv her another whirl.

I just finished Rick Mercer's _A Country Worth Ranting About_.  HIghly recommend.

Anything by Laurie R. King, especially her series on Sherlock Holmes' wife, Mary.

mmm

Thanks!  I'll check them out.  Love my Kindle. Super easy access to books and I don;t even have to leave the house to get them  :)

I actually really liked Maya Banks' highlander series.  Just enough heat for me, but not too excessive.    Is the Outlander series similar in writing style?  I like the idea of a historical but I don't want a history lesson, I just want a story I can sink my teeth into.  I'm not into books with a lot of old language, etc....  Just enough history to paint me the picture and make me feel like I'm there.  What do you think?  Maya Banks' next highlander series is due out in Feb.  Soon, but not soon enough! :)

I like the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich.  Comedy vs sex.
