everyone else has it right.  This is not a stall.  I lost 13lbs on opti and I started at 256 and was pretty damn happy with that.  Why are you expecting to lose so much more?  Also, you are considered a bit of a lightweight so you are not going to lose as much as rapidly as someone with a higher start weight.  You are going to drive yourself crazy with these expectations.  I mean this in the kindest way but please relax a bit :)

There is no 'goal' for weight loss on opti, once you're not cheating and doing what you should be doing then 'it is what it is'! Don't stress about it at all, your body is doing what it needs to do ie. shrinking your liver to get ready for surgery and some pre-surgery weight loss which helps in surgery as well, but there isn't a goal or number you should be looking for. You've already lost a great deal, your body is doing its thing, just let it.

Best wishes for your surgery!!

I don't think you are discouraging or offending anyone at all.  :)

I think many of the veterans here see a lot of messages about stalls and people's unrealistic expectations about how fast they should be losing and just want to set the record straight for you. Information is key with this, the better informed you are the more it can only help.

This process is going to throw your head into a tailspin for a bit, it is how you manage those things that will help you in the long run. It is fantastic that you didn't cheat once on Opti, I give you full props for that as not everyone can say the same thing.

You admit your body has already seen changes, with your first MC since February. Your body is registering the changes, you have lost weight. These are AMAZING positive things that have happened since you started Opti.

Don't worry about the scale or the disappointment, focus on the awesome changes you are seeing and are committed to. I wouldn't worry about being 240 for surgery, go in knowing you did the program as you were supposed to and stuck to the game plan.

All the best for surgery,

J.
