Anyone else have balance issues since WLS?

While walking I'll often have to readjust because I feel like I'm about to fall over.

Yes! I find my balance comes and goes but I have had some interesting phases where I had a lot of difficulty keeping my balance. I have fallen a couple of times, and I also stumbled over myself one day at work when I was just standing still. I'm sure I've had a few days where I've looked drunk just because of my balance.

My daughter is pink jellybean and after her WLS she fell and broke her tailbone. Doctor told her that after you lose weight this is normal that your balance is off it does get better in time.

I had low blood pressure at my last checkup, I have made a doctor's appointment to get bloodwork done and check on all my levels. I also have isolated numbness in my leg so something's up for sure.

Trying to golf after wls was a nightmare.  I had problems maintaining my balance through the golf swing. Hopefully this year will be better.

...as you can see by my avatar I love to golf....3-4 times per week and all the tournaments I can fit in with working...

Took me 2 seasons to get my swing back....my handicap went way up....I was using frigging woods on par 3's because I didnt know what was going to happen with irons....( I am a 9 handicap....so you know how ridiculous this was!)

When we are heavy - we tend to go back on our heels to avoid our bigger selves......try starting with a very athletic stance....right over the balls of your feet.....helped me immensely....my swing coach fixed me up on that....and then a 2 year battle to get the rest of the swing back....now I am golfing better then ever with more stamina and walking the course!

Have heart for this season!

when I feel a tad off balance I have dehydrated and need to add H2O and it solves the problem.  But that is just me, it is a rare event but has happened!

Could it be that as you lose weight rapidly your equilibrium is thrown off?
