Good morning everyone!
The weekend was a lot of fun, unfortunately I over indulged.
Today I’m back to basics and back on track. I’m not even going to weigh myself until Sunday because I don’t want to get upset and I would rather give myself time to recoup. I’m looking forward to a nice long walk today and a sleepover at the sleep lab tonight.

The ability to recognize that you were off-track, and then get back ON, is an important skill - good for you! I am guessing you are hating TV commercials these days and the fact that the CNE is on, since it means back-to-school is imminent. lol I worked for Peel for 14 years before moving to municipal government and I *still* cringe at the commercials and CNE opening. ;)
General domestic goddess duties today and I have to re-arrange my fridge. We cooked all freakin day yesterday and leftovers are everywhere. I do have a rather nice selection of eats though. Ridiculous that I am craving tuna with everything else in the fridge. lol
Anyway.... eats for today:
8 years post-op
B - coffee with cream x 4 over the morning (I was up really early), source greek 50 key lime, Premier protein shake
S - thin slice of banana bread with 1 Tbl. peanut butter, handful of grapes
L - fully-loaded crustless quiche (5 inch meat-pie size equals 1.5 eggs with lots of meat, cheese and veggies)
S - Chike protein iced coffee
S2 - leftover roast beef salad (about 2oz beef)
D - leftover chicken stir-fry, about a quarter cup rice
S - not sure yet

OMGoodness Karen!!! You are right on! I was just having this discussion with someone yesterday... how as a kid I hated the Jerry Lewis Telethon ads cuz it meant school was around the corner ... now I hate CNE commercials for the same reason. I'm 4 years from retirement and dislike it soooooo much, I'm actively looking for another job where I can transfer my pension....or Plan B meet my Prince Charming who will insist I travel the world with him ...or Plan C suck it up and go to meditation and art classes to deal with it...I just registered for both classes. Looking forward to another fun filled, delightful school year. ![]()
Haa! All good plans - I vote for Plan D - all of the above!

I had a great weekend. I got a nice start on painting by doing the first couple of paintings that I have really liked. A long way to go before I'm any good, but it's fun! Not very active, though. Yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening doing some canvassing (well, literature dropping really) for a friend who is running for council (in another ward), and he held a social afterwards where we ate, drank, and were merry. I didn't drink because I was driving, and I behaved myself relatively well with the food. So at least I got some exercise this weekend walking door to door yesterday.
Today: Rode my bike to work, and tonight when I get home I'll be cleaning the house if I have the energy, because we're having a birthday party this weekend for a relative. I figure if I get the house clean now, I can spend the rest of the week just thinking about prep. The only trick will be getting hubby not to mess the place up between tonight and the weekend! LOL.

B - Toasted P28 bread with some peanut butter spread on it, and a glass of milk (just beforehand)
S - A banana, then later a Quest protein bar
L - Leftover coconut curry okra tofu on a bit of rice
S - 1/2 cup ricotta/vanilla/splenda mix with 1/2 cup blueberries. Also brought some cherries in case of munchies later in the afternoon.
D - Some kind of meaty cheesy polenta thing, not sure exactly how I'm going to prepare it yet. The polenta is for hubby, so it will be heavier on the meat/cheese and lighter on the polenta for me.
S - Not sure...will think of something!

B - 2 large mugs of regular coffee

S - 2/3 Oh Yeah Bar
L - 1.5 skewers of chicken souvlaki
3 TB of tzatziki sauce
S - 3 wasa
1/2 cup of shredded habanero cheese
D - 2 eggs with 2 slices of Cdn bacon
1.5 cups of sweet kale salad
S - 4 pickled beets
2 Source dessert yogurt
