Wow thank you so much for the welcome and the information! I think I am ready for the orientation, I figured the whole process would be about a year so that fits the timeline you all described. 

Arenas are where I spend half my time, hockey in the winter and lacrosse in the summer! Any helpful hits for eating at the arena would be great!
