Expired Optifast

I received my order of the Optifast in June a week after the Surgeron appointment and I just noticed the expiry date is August 31 and surgery isn't until October. Can I return it?

I think you should be able to since it's expired.

So I called the pharmacy and they said they have a lot of people calling about expired Vanilla Optifast. They said to return it after it expires. The Chocolate flavour isn't expired until 2017.
