Acanthosis nigricans

Hi everyone,

Just wondering has anyone had an issue with dark skin around their neck or arm pits...and how has it been post op...

I get it in the summer sometimes (I'm pre-op), I use coconut oil on it and it clears up in a few days.

What causes this?

insulin resistance...it doesn't go away through any topical treatment..but i find it lessens as i lose weight.  i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it...
