just getting started please help

Just an update I talked to my father about it and he has agreed to support me in that I can stay at his place for appointments and he will pick me up after the surgery... So new questions how long after the surgery do I stay in the area or will my check ups be with my family doctor?

If you are going through Ottawa, I was given the choice when I had my final meeting with the surgeon. Before that we were told the we would all get rny.  There is no medical reason why I would need a sleeve, my surgeon just asked me which I prefer.  I went with rny as I have endocrine problems and there is more long term data on the rny being used for endocrine conditions.  The surgeon will tell you what is possible for you and your medical situation.  Welcome to the forum - this is a great place to get information and support.
