TERRIFIC TUESDAY ROLL CALL
Morning all - sorry to hear about your restless night, Lisa - hope you can catch a nap later today.
I had a good nights sleep - went to Curves after work and had a good workout, then home for a quiet evening. At work today but am off tomorrow to take my mom for her pet scan and B12 shot. Will go to Curves after all that is over. Riding my recumbant bike tonight since it doesn't look like it'll be nice enough to walk too much outside.
Otherwise I have a quiet day - not too much new and exciting in my world right now.

Oh jimminy Lisa! I hope tonight is a better night for you!
I came home and emptied the dishwasher..put away some cat food that I hadn't gotten out of my car...made myself something to eat and am now killing time here and will be visiting FB shortly.
Oddly enough I am not in the least bit tired...but not only have to get up for work tonight....but need to leave the house early. A friend of mine at work is working full time nights and going to school full time days in nursing school...something I did a few years back and remember vividly how horrid it is. Today is her super long day...she worked 7p-7a last night with me...has class from 8a-1p...will hopefully be in bed by 2....and has to be up by 5ish to be back in work at 7pm....so I am stopping and getting her a coffee so she doesn't have to leave the house a minute earlier than needed to slide through the door in time. That being said...I better get some sleep! LOL
So...I'm hanging with hubby right now...*****ing about my nonsense patients....and then will probably take a warm shower to hopefully relax me enough to sleep.
At least it is grey outside...so hopefully once I do go to bed I'll be able to sleep well.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Lisa,
Wow - i hate it when stuff like that happens. But this seems to have been National Sleepless Night or something... I was woken up numerous times starting at freaking 2 AM due to beloved hubby Ed having nightmares that involved thrashing and screaming. Just lovely.
I was also upset about the Penn State student who was found last night. Katie had alerted me that he was missing and I was following the search for him closely. Turns out he'd been drinking at a frat and walked home alone (that's 2 strikes), then fell down a stairwell and suffered a severe head injury and bled out. The whole binge drinking on campus thing is just so horrible and stupid, but kids just still feel so invulnerable. Hopefully the good that will come out of it is that some other kids will think twice before doing it. But it's so sad and I just kept thinking about his family and friends.
Thankfully, my plan for the morning did NOT involve going to the gym before work, so I could sleep in a few extra minutes. But I'm doing a cardio kickboxing class after work, which shoudl be fun. And then tomorrow morning at 7 I have a "Strive" orientation (Strive is a strength and cardio circuit that is one of the options at my gym). That's assuming I can move after the kickboxing class.
Today has me at work all day, hopefully routine stuff. But my boss already nabbed me this morning to tell me she wants to "light a fire" under my people to get some long-standing projects done. Should be fun - getting some of these "old-timers" (not in age, in attitude) to MOVE is like shoveling molasses in January.
Have a healthy and happy day.

Lisa,
It sounds like a nightmare in reality. So sorry you have to go through that.
Tuesday has me at school with the kiddos. Then, I am heading home to walk my dog. Then, to the hospital for a few hours of work.
Nothing exciting.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Things are slowing getting back to normal here. DH is home from the hospital and feeling much better. I went back to work again last night. Slept like a rock for four hours and now am wide awake. Hopefully I can grab a nap before work tonight. Getting back to the rec center tomorrow morning. Haven't been there for a week between me feeling like crap and DH's stay at Geisinger. I did make it to the support group meeting last night. Needed that. It keeps me on track as well as reading and participating on this board. Thanks to all of you I survived the last couple of days without the total pigout that used to happen in stressful situations.
