How do you see me??? - A feel good exercise!!!!
Hey everyone... I want to try something. With so many of us having body image issues... I figured what the heck... why not do a feel good exercise?!?!
What you do is this... Post about the person who posted last. For example... the next person to post will say things about me... then the person to post after that will post about the person who posted about me.
What do you say about them? Anything... POSITIVE things! Physical things, what you see as their strengths, what you admire about them, what makes them beautiful in YOUR eyes... ect.
You can post as many times as you want! I'm pretty sure we all need this!
So let's get this positive affirmation post rolling .... WOOT WOOT!!!!
Shilpa, you are a woman with a big heart and dedicated to family and friends alike. I personally have experienced your kindness when I needed it most, your beauty shines through your eyes!
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

What a great idea!
I have to say that I think you are someone who has the rare quality of being beautiful from the inside out and while you may cringe inwardly whenever someone tells you how beautiful you are, you are deserving of that in ways that matter most and that is your outside is merely a reflection of what you are inside. You are also dedicated to making a positive change in the lives of those you come in contact with.

1st Mary, you are very beautiful. I know it is hard to hear this because of being seen as " the fat girl" for so long. I was very big 300 plus so I know like you do, that you lose yourself in that kind of weight.
So,,,you are gorgeous, beautiful eyes, quick wit, kind and loving and have the patience of Job to deal with Norm. Just kidding.
Shilpa you have a killer smile, and your presence fills a room. You are strong and so capable.
Laureen you have a smile that looks like you are up to no good but we know you arent. Your accent cracks me up and your no nonsense nature makes me happy to be around you. You are strong, you have a determined attitude and when people look at you they see, strength and kind eyes and a woman who knows who she is.
Nicole: I see you as a strong person who's willing to give so much of her time to others. Case in point: facilitating the Beck group. You're very supportive and motivating. Heck, maybe someday I'll try ziplining! lol You've done an amazing job in your own journey!!!
Julia
This is a phenomenal idea!
Let me take a slightly different direction - I have only known the 3 of you POST weight-loss... My eyes don't look at you and see your past - only your "today" and your future. I literally cannot envision any of the 3 of you as "fat."
Mary - you were a GORGEOUS bride from your pictures, and from seeing you at support group. You are young, vibrant, and energetic. You seem like someone I'd love to get to know better.
Shilpa - from the very first time I met you, you were so warm and welcoming. Your smile and your laugh fill a room and are contagious. Your energy and spirit are so incredible!
Nicole - You have such amazing perspective and generosity! I'm in awe that you've given so freely of yourself in the Beck group and on the forum, sharing your valuable skills and knowledge with us. Your wittiness and adventuresome spirit is spurring us all on to greater achievements (the zip line, etc.) and self-redefinition.
I feel honored to know each and every one of you ladies - beautiful inside and out!
Karen
I am going to go backwards and share about the wonder I see so far...

Julie...I can go by what I read on the OH board you are on the right track to this new life as a newer post op and can not wait to meet you in person. You have a positive outlook which shows.
Nicole..You have a passion for the human spirit that is always encouraging to those around you and you have the most beautiful smile that lights up a room and love your accent.
Laureen ..you have the gift of seeing things from all sided when trying to make sense of a problem and offering up advise. You have the eyes that sparkle and a caring heart.
Shilpa....You are always willing to help and support. You have a spark for life and always think of others even when you need support. You are a beautiful woman and amazing friend.
Mary Mary Mary...You are someone that a quiet shy side but the kindest of hearts. You have the most caring eyes and a beautiful woman. You are someone that has had an amazing journey and your ability to support is beyond words.
This is a community filled with amazing people...
Karen. I'm not sure if we've ever met in person, and I'm mostly a lurker these days, but I admire your courage and the sensitivity that I've seen in your posts. Physically I might point out that I can see your collar bone in your avatar. :-) You are a very beautiful woman.
Mary, I was blessed to see much of your physical transformation. Nothing short of amazingly awesome. I have also been blessed to see you blossom as a woman. It's been exciting to witness.
Nicole, you're one of my all time favorite surgery buddies. I love your spirit, your drive and your ability to see things so clearly. I'm looking forward to seeing you in person again some day.
