Feast

Just an update.... So I got to the event yesterday and they needed servers.  This means you don't eat feast only that you can nibble in tthe kitchen and that you get to have any food not given out.  (btw... there is always tons.)

So feast had 20 dishes served.  Between Removes I picked on cheese and meat.  woohoo it was so much easier when i was helping out.  Plus the head cook was a WLS patient from years ago and she gave me some nice suggestions.

BROUGHT HOME:  leftover salmon, turkey, pork, beef, armoured turnips (omg favorite feast item), cheeses, fruit and this item that is sorta like a turducken but instead has goose.

Thanks all for you well wishes... I did fine.

(and lots and lots of WOW moments last night!!!)

Original name I believe is Rapum Armatum

thing augratin potatoes with turnips.

spices like cinnamon, cloves, pepper and/or mace (depending on Chef)
Thin sliced Turnips
Cheeses:  cheddar cheese, bleu cheese, and few other cheeses (it varies per chef.. some use gouda or asiago etc) and bake it...

OMG soooo freakin yummy.

Congrats!  I haven't been to a Feast in ages.  If you get a chance can you send me some more information on your SCA group?  I help a friend with her events-- (her husband is an Armorer)-she is in Florida in Trimaris and I helped her out at their vendor booth at Pennsic War last year and really enjoyed it.  Have been thinking about getting involved locally.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
