I love my pouch!

My pants were getting tight again, so I decided to re-evaluate my eating and try getting back to planning and actually eating on that plan.  Almost 3 years out, I can eat a lot more than when I first had the surgery.  I've heard it said on here before though that even though you can eat XYZ, doesn't mean you should.

Well, this morning I had a slice of raisin bread toasted, with peanut butter, and a V8 juice and I felt full -- completely satisfied and with that full (but not too full) tummy feeling.  And I just thanked God for this wonderful tool.  It's wonderful to be able to eat healthy foods in healthy portions and not feel deprived or empty.  Today I am grateful that I had gastric bypass surgery.  I am grateful for the physical changes of weight loss as well as the physiological changes that allow me to eat smaller portions and feel satisfied.  Of course, I'm still working on all the emotional stuff!  LOL.

Jill,

'tis a wonderful thing.  Kudos to you for setting such an amazing example that personal responsibility is what it takes to maintain this transformation in the long run!  Great job and wonderful attitude.

Good for you for continuing to use your tool!
