***Fabulous Friday Roll Call***

GOOOOOOOD MORNING GOOD MORNING GOOD MORNING!!  Apparently my reply to Thursday's roll call was enough to get some crazy friends of mine concerned that I wasn't ok.  I was ok, promise.  EXHAUSTED but ok.

I got some frigging phenomenal sleep yesterday, once I finally got to bed.  STeffi, you and I are on the same page...I quite frequently go through spurts of not sleeping well at all and then finally sleeping like a rock later on in the week or whatever.  I didn't go to bed til about 10:45 but once I did I crashed hard and didn't wake up ONCE until 4:30.  That, my friends, is amazing.

Work started off real, well, ****ty, in all honesty. Walked into my first patients room to be literally cursed up one side and down the other...at first I thought that I just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and I happened to get the brunt of her frustrations for the day...but no...she was like that to everyone all night long.  She ended up getting discharged and on the way out the doctor made me give her a sandwich.  I don't mind feeding ppl..but really...she was 22 years old, able to get her own food, AND was going home as we spoke.  Do I really need to reward people for treating me like crap by giving them stuff like that when they've said not one nice word to me? Sigh.

It's also been REALLY busy...but we are starting to get caught up now.  Thank goodness.  I am, however, in my favorite section until I empty it...which is 1-4.  My favorite cause my desk is away from everyone, and all the noise.  I can keep my itunes on, and not be in the middle of the chaos.  Just me and my pts.  It's kind of nice.

So...that'll be the very beginning of FRiday for me...working till 0700 lol.  Then it's straight home.  No gym today.  I am feeling QUITE guilty about that...but even the trainer requested I not come today.  My muscles absolutely need a day to recover.  They already feel much better then they did earlier today...but I'm gonna listen and stay home.  I didn't even bring my gym bag with me.  I have problems with "moderation" when it comes to this stuff...I tend to be an all or nothing type person.

So, once home it'll be domestic goddess type stuff and then a "quick" 8 hour shift at the heart in center city.  "just" doing 7p-0300, not to shabby when you are used to 12 hour shifts.

ARe we EVER getting rid of this darn humidity?????

Good Morning Pam,
I just got home from the Phillies game, stopping at Wawa to get some chicken salad, stopping at 7-11 for gas and walking Utley.  Phillies won in extra innings and the fireworks show was phenomenal.  Got irked by a remark my sister made to me about being on sick leave at the end of the school year.  We were talking about how late the game was, and how it would be hard to get up to work in the morning, and I jokingly said, "Work...who needs to go to work anyhow?"  She snidely said, "Look at you.  You have not been to work since April."  I would gladly trade my herniated discs, fibromyalgia, and bipolar disorder with her anyday.  Sometimes she gets to be such a *****

Friday has me going to the post office to mail a package to my daughter-in-law for her birthday.  I ordered some Tastefully Simple from someone who had a show, and also got her some cute silver earrings from Avon for her.

I also plan to change gyms.  I got so fed up with the Ballys by Barix.  The wallpaper in the ladies lockerroom bathroom has been torn, huge gap, for months.  I asked them to replace two lightbulbs in the shower area around Memorial Day...reminded them a week later...and a week later, and a month ago a third bulb went out...another reminder...well Wednesday a fourth bulb went out.  Then, after I used the elliptical, I went to two paper towel holders to wipe down the machine with the disinfectant and both were out.  ARGH.  So, I complained about that, and was told they sometimes run out and are waiting for more.  I e-mailed corporate and went to the LA Fitness website to find they have an online deal till Monday, that is just a little more a month than Ballys.

Finally, I have my AA meeting.

Stay cool.

Hugs,
Trish

I belong to LA fitness, Trish.  I have been to two different facilities - the one in Eason and the one by my parents house in NJ.  Granted, both of them are some of their newer facilities (the Easton one is I believe 2-3 years old, and the NJ one is brand freaking new) and both of them are in absolute phenomenal condition and the staff is awesome.  I haven't had any complaints.  Good luck!

I know LA Fitness is good.  I belonged for years before my surgery, and about a year afterward.  I went to both the one near Barix, and the one in Bensalem, near Neshaminy Mall.  The staff is terrific, and I am sure they replace the lightbulbs regularly.

I am so happy to go back to them.

Thanks,
Trish

Ladies, may I suggest Planet Fitness!  I love, love, love the one that I go to.  It's litterally 2 blocks from my house!  I go at 5 am.  There is about 20 or so people there at that hour.  The usuals.  There are Planet Fitness's everywhere.  My membership is really cheap and there equipment is all new.

I had a membership there, but really can't do weights, because of my back.  I need the pool and hot tub that the other two gyms provide.  I am planning on investing in styrofoam barbells for the pool to give me some upper body work without the strain on my back.

Thanks.

Trish

Pam sorry someone was giving you a hard time and had their poopie pants on for you. But we both know that this is part of the service profession. Getting **** ON, and then getting a high from helping someone. Glad you are getting better sleep and dont feel guilty for one second about skipping the gym. Your body needs rest.

Today I am at work, hoping it will be a calm day... :)

Dont forget to call or sign on to reserve your zipline. I would imagine that at some point they will close of fthat time slot as they can only have so many people going at once.

I am going to dinner with friends tonigh and I am really happy to see them. I dont plan to overdo it but will definately not feel guilty about an evening out.

I have been re-reading the Women Food and God and journaling about all the things that I underlined the first time around. That is helping. I am  beginning to realize that we are so much more than our package, and we need to focus on all of our being.  We get angry with other dismiss us or judge us because of the way we look, but we do the same to ourselves. We dismiss ourselves, judge ourselves and relegate our worth to what is on the  scale or in the mirror.

Love to you all. Have a great Friday
