This Wednesday there is a Support Group Meeting at Roger Williams Hospital 7:00pm - 9:00pm in the Green Lounge!!! It's the Living Life Group run by Julie Nolan in my opinion it is the best meeting in Rhode Island!!!!   Everyone is invited to come Band or RNY patients!!! I Hope to see you all there!!!

I had my lapband a year ago and doing great.  The biggest issue I had was when I made up my mind , it too so long to go through the process.   

I work at Kent in the surgical area and was so happy to find out that they will be doing bands here.  Its a great program  with experience surgeons. The informational sessions are held monthly.  If anyone is interested call 737-1988 .  

Hi Friends!!

Mrs RHody here... I am very happy with my progress! I have lost 112 lbs, 5 from my orginal goal and 15 from my new one. I am going to see were things go, but I would be happy to be where I am had I not had the surgery. However, I know that you regain about 10% of the loss once your body stabilizes. So, I will see how far my body takes me.
It bothers me and makes me uncomfortable when I bump into people that I haven't see in awhile. It is awkward and uncomfortable for them as they try to absorb my transformation with a state of shock on their faces.. WHat I want to say to them is that I am still the same person!!!! SO dont treat me any differently, please.. I beg you!

ANyone feel the same??? I mean it is all good for sure, but I know that I am unrecognizable to many.

No, Dr Roye gave me a BPD Biliopancreatic Diversion without a DS. My problem is there are no choices for the type of surgery I had. So, I chose one. Now there are more choices and went in to change but won't change on the page........ Never ends with software.
