Spinach poo (way, way way TMI post in case you didn't guess)
Pardon my poo post, but it's not easy being green...
I tend to toss spinach on just about everything, especially when I eat at the salad bar at work, in an attempt to down more low-carb veggies and iron. But for the past few months, almost any time I eat spinach (raw) I poop it out in lovely little green flecks not a half hour later. Doesn't happened with cooked, creamed, etc. I am far enough out that I doubt it's an RNY thing, but I was just curious if this has ever happened to anyone else?

Nope this doesn't happen to me, but when I drink grape crystal light, mine is bright green. LOL sorry for the TMI but you started it. ![]()

My husband gets that same thing when he drinks KoolAid/Crystal Light grape or fruit punch. It's a reaction to the dye

If you eat your spinach and it only takes 30 min to leave your body - means you have severe runs. Diarrhea.
You probably see spinch from the day before. Any raw veggies are difficult to digest. That why if you want to benefit from veggies - not the fiber but the minerals/vitamins - it is best to either steam them or cook very briefly... Just to wilt them.
