Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a very nice Easter Sunday. Mine was very relaxing - I did nothing. It was gooooooood. (FYI, the devilled eggs were quite tasty and all gobbled up. Thanks for the recipes!) Now on to the QOTD: 1) As a pre-op - do you find yourself hiding from the camera? As a post-op - do you find yourself turning into quite the camera hound? 2) Posties - how has your personality changed since surgery? Prebies - how do you think surgery will change your personality, if at all? 3) Posties - did your taste in foods change after surgery? If so, how? Okay - y'all have a great Monday (if that's a possibility......) and a lovely week! Cheryl

1) As a pre-op - do you find yourself hiding from the camera? As a post-op - do you find yourself turning into quite the camera hound? Yes, I hid from the camera. In fact, there are relatively few pics of me pre-op. Post op - I am always taking pictures and am in them a lot. Cameras aren't the enemy anymore. 2) Posties - how has your personality changed since surgery? Prebies - how do you think surgery will change your personality, if at all? Well, I've always been quite outspoken. But I also had an incredibly hot temper. My temper has calmed down a LOT, but I'm still outspoken. Go figure! 3) Posties - did your taste in foods change after surgery? If so, how? I tend to crave protein based foods more often now. Especialy red meat.

1) As a pre-op - do you find yourself hiding from the camera? As a post-op - do you find yourself turning into quite the camera hound? HELL YES ! ! ! ! To both questions.. I rarely had my pic made pre-op and if I did you can bet I was at the back of the picture.. But now as a post op that has changed SO much.. I was kidding with Yvonne that I have turned into a picture ***** I love having my pic made.. you can tell that by looking at my photobucket and seeing all the pics taken with all the Beautiful women of OH.. In fact I need to post more pics.. LOL 2) Posties - how has your personality changed since surgery? Prebies - how do you think surgery will change your personality, if at all? I have to agree with some people and say that I have gotten ****ier.. If that is possible.. I was pretty ****y to begin with or so I thought.. I was mainly lying to myself to try and make me feel good about myself.. I always acted like the "Jolly" fat man to fit in but deep down I was hurting.. Post-ops please know that you will fill a lot better about yourself but it may take some time.. But you will.. It makes a big difference when you are almost half the person you were.. 3) Posties - did your taste in foods change after surgery? If so, how? I have found that I like onions a lot.. I mean before I never ate them unless they were battered and fried but now I can eat them raw... I do still love to eat.. I just try not eating as much.. Thanks for these wonderful questions.. Well you like your pic taken just cause you're so darn cute!! LOL Dont' kill me Ramon. I never liked to be in any picutres but now it really don't bother me cause I know that I will be shrinking!! I have always hidden behind others too and worried if I showed up. I would get behind all of the tall people and hide. As far as attitude, I have always been out going and very out spoken, but kind and I will never change that part of myself. I love people and love to be around people. Hey Mr. ****y have you been listening to the Kid?? Mr Rock that is?? You're great Ramon thanks this made me laugh and I needed that. I am 3 weeks post-op today and I go in for my next weigh in Friday at 3 I am so excited!! Take care and much luv to ya!! Kelley

I worked a regular weekend of 2 12 hour shifts so I can't say my weekend was great besides waking up to a surprise snowfall!! It had all melted by 10 AM but was pretty while it lasted. It was great then to see the sun out of our 3rd floor window at the hospital. 1. I still take all the pictures in our family but I do allow one of me every now and then Before, everyone knew I would go to great lengths to avoid being in a picture!! I do need a new one for my posts. This one is from October----a very long time ago weight wise!! 2. I don't think I have changed much yet. I was always outspoken and have remaind so. I do believe I get more respect and "listen to" time from strangers and service people----know what I mean? 3. I crave salty more now and want more flavor in the things I eat. I want it to cout for somthing in my mouth. Bland is out!! A good week to you all! Sharon

GOOD MORNING CHERYL AND EVERYBODY, 1-AS A PRE-OP I HATED TO BE IN PICTURE`S, I`D DISSAPEAR WHENEVER I COULD, WHEN I CAMERA CAME OUT. NOW, I`M ALWAYS IN PICTURE`S, I`VE BECOME QUITE THE POSER. 2-I ALWAYS HAD AN OUTGOING PERSONALITY, BUT NOW I DON`T TAKE ANYTHING FROM ANYBODY, AND FIND MYSELF STANDING UP FOR WHAT I BELIEVE IN, WHERE BEFORE I`D KINDA BACK DOWN, AND BECOME INVISABLE, SO NOBODY WOULD NOTICE HOW BIG I WAS. 3-I USED TO LOVE FRIED FOODS, NOW I CAN`T STAND THE SMELL OF ANYTHING FRIED. EVERYTHING I LOVED TO EAT BEFORE SURGERY, TURNS ME OFF, NOW. GREAT QOTD CHERYL. LOVE, ELAINE AKA SUNSHINE DIVA -110 222/112

Hi Cheryl. I am still in the early stages progressing towards surgery (my consult is 4/19) but the pic question struck me. My brother got married last weekend. I spent the entire time dodging the camera and going in and deleting the pics I was in, how pathetic is that? I have been seriously overweight since the birth of my youngest son who is now 15 and have avoiding pictures ever since. I truly only have a handful of pictures that I am in and that is really sad for my children. I just know that for some reason I do not really see how bad I look in the mirror but it is crystal clear in photos. Anyway I love all the before and after pics on this site, very encouraging. As for the personality question, I hope I stay the same after surgery but I am guessing most people change for the better. Kelli

Good Morning my sweet sunshine! If you were here Id give you a big ol' hug!!! 1) As a pre-op - do you find yourself hiding from the camera? As a post-op - do you find yourself turning into quite the camera hound? ** I dont like my pic taken since Im so fat...even at OH events My DH will take pics of me with the kids etc, but Im the one who puts them on the puter etc...so I have the opportunity to delete...delete...delete. They do have pics of me, so Im not worried about that. At school, people are always taking pics of me with my students, so I place the child in front of me (normally with me kneeling behind the child-at their level) 2) Posties - how has your personality changed since surgery? Prebies - how do you think surgery will change your personality, if at all? ** I hope so, Im praying that I will like/love myself more and in turn, I will be a better mom, wife and friend Enjoy your day everyone! 1) I am so much more comfortable with a camera now. It doesnt bother me now if someone takes a body shot...I used to only allow headshots. 2)Since my surgery I smile more. I have had people notice as well. Ive had comments that I actually look happy for real, a sparkle in my eyes, and a bounce in my step. I think I am more of a positive person...yes I have my bad days and I still have worries but overall...Im happy. Im also more of a flirt I have so much more confidence when it comes to chatting with the men. 3) My taste in foods has definitely changed...I used to love Ice Cream..had it almost daily. Now I cant stand it....makes me ill whether its low sugar or not. I never crave it either. I crave salt more and things like nuts and chex mix. When I do crave something sweet I want an Hershey's Kiss..just a plain bite of chocolate...nothing fancy no caramel, peanut butter or junk in the chocolate..just a plain hershey's kiss and the sugar demon will go away! Only 2.5 grams of sugar in a hershey's Kiss so Im relatively safe with one

GOOD MORNING ! 1) I was always the one behind the camera, taking pics before...now, I dont mind being in the pics and often tell my hubby or daughter to take some new ones of me ! 2) I have always had a very bubbly, out going personality all my life ! But, I do have more self confidence, I am not just hiding behind my personality, I am really just feeling it and being me ! I am a flirt, always have been and will always be one ! It is more fun now though, knowing that I may get a response back.... ha ha 3) My food tastes have changed alot ! I used to love sweets and chocolates, etc. I still like them, not just nearly as much and really only crave them every blue moon. ( which is a good thing) Also, I used to love all kinds of meat but now I eat them only becuase I have to. If I have a choice, I choose the shrimp over red meat, etc. Have a great day !
