Sick...any advice? Anyone go through this?
So for the past few nights, I haven't been sleeping well, and having a little tummy ache after I ate (no matter what it was)... Well starting yesterday (sorry TMI!) I started getting gross, painful diarrhea, and thought maybe the sugar alcohols in all my crystal lite peach tea was to blame...but I felt something coming on... Ive been nauseous all day, no matter what I try to eat, or drink, and of course i will be going to the er lating in the morning because I know I'm dehydrated...but I woke up 2 hours after falling into a restless sleep, and had a 101.7 temp....
I'm going to wait a few hours to call my surgeon, I really don't want to wake him up when there's no way I'm getting out right now with this ice on the roads!
Oh I forgot to mention that even drinking water is making me nauseous...I cut out everything else, and am forcing myself to drink the water anyway.
Does this sound like the right decision? Sound familiar?
Thanks in advance!!!
Oh P.S. I'm down a total of 44 lbs! Woohoo! Even though I'm not feeling well, I can still rejoice in that!

Kim,
Sorry you are feeling YUKKY. I work at an elementary school and this type of "bug" is going around big time. BUT, I'm glad you are calling your doc and let him decide what is going on. While you are waiting for this ice to melt (I'm in Arlington...bad here, too), can you try to eat some ice chips? It might be a little easier on your tummy than water and will at least get a little fluid in you.
Hang in there and let us know how you are doing.

Kim since you are running a fever I would say you have a bug and it is not your surgery related unless you have some kind of infection. It wont hurt you to go to the ER if it doesn't cost you a bunch of money. Hope you feel better real soon !!!
