back from the doctor

Well I guess when I get sick, I really get sick.....I tested positive for the FLU and my chest x-ray showed Pneumonia.....

Off wor****il Monday, go back for a repeat chest x-ray unless I get worse between now and then...

And NO I did not get the flu shot...I thought I could beat it another year.....LOL

Sorry that you have the flu Mel.....that is tough.   Thank GOD I have not had it in years.   I do get my flu shot every year and I also a phnemonia shot when it is due.    Not that I am saying that has kept me from getting the flu.....I am sure it hasn't.   Hope you get to feeling better real soon.   I will say some prayers for you.

I had the flu real bad about 8 years ago, in the hospital ICU everything; I was real good about getting my flu & phnemonia shot every year after that...then the last couple of yeas I have been fine, not been sick nothing...than BAM it hit me like a ton of bricks...

How horrible - went through the same thing last year in February, was sicker than a dog and I HAD the flu shot last year, worthless though it was.  I got'em all again in September, did NOT want to do that again.  I sure hope you feel better by Monday, but if you don't, don't pu**** it took me a week and a half until I was on the mend and well enough to return to work.

2 years ago, I skipped the flu shot and when that season rolled around, I was at a work conference in Orlando.  I came down sick faster and harder than anything ever!!!!   I flew home the next morning and thought I was going to die!!!  At the time, I thought I had a bad sinus infection going into brochittis...  I went straight from the airport to the doctor's office with a raging fever (over 103).   They took one look at me coughing and isolated me.  The test was immediate and positive for the flu.  Missed 5 days of work and thought I was going to die!  I'm just thankful they have that extremely expensive, but effective flu medication on the market....

I really wouldn't wish this on anyone, ever!

Get well and take care of yourself.  Stay in bed, rest, and relax and sleep when you can.  I missed sleep the most when I was so sick.  Actually stayed in my recliner most of the time because it was easier than laying down (to breathe).

Hope you feel better. Even if you'd gotten the shot you still might have caught another strain of it- but next year just to be safe, get the shot. lol. Rest and liquids my dear!!! Hope you are well by Monday!
