Not being able to see my feet when I am standing up. Losing my breath as I struggle to tie my shoes, then seeing they are tied on the side instead of in the middle of my shoe. Bending over and having my waistband of my panties suddenly roll down under my belly. Taking off my cloths at nite and seeing the red indention marks where my bra, and the waistband of my jeans were. Walking like a weeble. Feeling like I am the heaviest person in the room (male or female) The horrible feeling from just having come home from a buffett, and knowing you got your moneys worth. Laying down in bed at nite and having your own breasts at your chin. 3 or 4 sizes of clothing in your closet at any given time. Hitting the seats on both sides of the isle when I walk into an airplane. Speaking of airplanes, wondering if I will need a seat belt extension, or spilling over into someone else's seat. Knowing they are thinking OMG I hope she isn't next to me. Feeling of self consiciencness when I sit in someone else's furniture, I bet you all have some of your own.
I don't have any regrets, they can talk about me plenty when I'm gone....Bob Dylan

Wow did you ever hit that nail on the head!!!!  Very good verbalization =)  I second everything you said and will add that I won't feel like everyone is looking at the whale riding her bike on the bike path and I won't miss the expression on others faces that says they are thinking that my boyfriend can do "so much better"...

I understand exactly what you are saying.  The worse for me is the dang airplane.  I'm married to a travel agent so this happens frequently.  Not that I'm complaining!  I love to travel.  And as long as I can sit with people I know it's not big deal.  I hate to "bleed" in to someone else's seat.  I even bought my own seat belt extender off eBay so I wouldn't have to be humiliated to ask for one from the flight attendant.  I have had to use it on 3 occasions.  That sucks!  I will also be happe to wear cordoroy in the winter and not set fire to my thighs!  Holy MolyThere are a milion things I won't miss about being fat!

On my way to Dallas from Tucson, a man sat in the row in front of me in the window seat, and a young man sat in the aisle seat.  When no one took the middle seat, the window guy looks at the aisle guy and starts making comments about how glad he is that some 400lbs person didn't come sit between them and squish them for the entire flight.  And how could somebody just let themselves get like that?  Don't they know when to stop eating?  blah blah blah... BOY DID I BITE MY TONGUE AND SIT ON MY HANDS!  I wanted to pop him in the back of the head and tell him to look around b4 he made his rude and judgemental statements.  Not to mention, WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES!!!!

Getting out of breath when walking, my pants cutting into me, my boobs being so heavy, my bra cutting me under my arms and creepin up in the back, back spasms, tight airline seats, people staring, men running away when they finally meet you face-to-face, an increase in self-esteem.

Thanks for your post. I think we all look forward to days when we don't have to think about and struggle with these things any more. To add to the list, I won't miss: -having to say I have to take the elevator to the fifth flour classroom when all my friends start going up the stairs. -sweating through two or more shirts each day. -feeling tired at the end of every day -not going out with people my age because I'll have to stand or walk for extended periods of time -feeling uncomfortable in the school chair-desks because I don't fit in them any more -having to forever to pull up and adjust the waistbands on my pants as they slip and roll down -feeling like my body is doomed There's a million more reasons but that's all for now. I don't think any of them would be that much of a surprise to anyone :P Can't wait for my surgery date! Nia

Avoiding certain shopping centers bc they dont have the disabled scooters to ride on.. not being able to reach certain body parts bc my huge belly is in the way.. shopping from a catalog instead of finding clothes on the rack....and buying clothes in the XXXX sections not fitting into movie theater or restaurant seats/booths.. those are just a few of mine...so many to name
