Average amount/Cost of protein per month?

 Just trying to plan ahead a bit and wondering how much protein powder people go through a month or approx what people budget for it...and did anyone notice food bills going down because you eat less, OR do they go up because of purchasing more specialty items? 

I do not drink powders so i buy my ready to drink proteins from costco, its costs me about 46 dollars a month for protein
 

I havent used a protein drink in weeks and probably won't use any in the future.  Had too many with my band.

I still have one can of protein drink a day.  THere is only one kind that I can tolerate and it is the premade kind.  A 4 pack costs 7.99 at target.  I have the flex spending acct at work and I got my surgeon to write a letter saying that It is medically necessary for me to have protein supplements and all of my vitamins..and now I can get reiburses from my flex accout.  The powder protein is cheaper ..I just can't tolerate it.

a jug of protein powder costs me about $37 and lasts me 1-2 months depending on how many i have during that time.  i think there are 37 servings in my containers.  My food bill has gone down,  but the supplements make up for it.  A plus is no more medications except the actigall i get for my gall ballder but that's just $10 co pay,  the real money will be spent on clothes once i'm at goal  Buying as little as i can now because hopefully the won't fit for very long,  jeani
