Curtailing loss to save the Tatas?????

I went to see a plastic surgeon this week. The information I was given on implants made me really ******g uneasy. I am more focused on my tummy but new boobs were in the back of my mind. Looking at all of the possible complications and costs associated with them just blows my ******g mind. The fact that up 50 percent of women with implants miss cancer as it is harder to find with implants (according to the implant companies disclosures) scared the **** out of me. Not mention I have yet to see a single person with implants that I like the way they look. I don't like how saline implants look hard, fake and high. The huge separate cleavage just kind of rubs me the wrong way, or better yet make me not want to rub them at all!!! The silicone seems to look better and feel softer but they have more long term costs and leaks go unseen with out out of pocket bi-yearly MRIs. (2k) FML. The fact that silcone had been found in the liver and lympnodes of those who had leaks scared the **** out of me. I know tons of people get implants and love them. I just tend to be a planner and want to take every possible situation into account and how I would be able to deal with it in reality. I just know I could not afford the costs of replacing them and they ARE NOT lifetime devices so I am considering curtailing my loss at 150 to save the fat tissue that is left there. I know I could do a lift but that will cause them to be even smaller so I may just have to opt for really good ******g bras and no new lovers! LOL Has anyone taken this into consideration or just kind let the "tits fall where they may"? I am hoping the tummy tuck and lipo make me happy with my overall shape as I tend to put all my weight in the middle and have smaller legs and arms (not a good look friends) so I can try to maintain at a bit higher weight to make the girls look half way decent naturally.
PS…. I looked into fat transfer augmentation… FML 30k… Ill keep my sad lil boobies….
Any imput from those who are just as concerned with their lady lumps would help

Crunchy As Can Be

Mine were always small to begin with... like around an A+ to a B- and I've always worn a B cup bra to contain the perky little buggers. Aside from myself I've never seen another woman so overweight without the tatas to match... I also had never met another vegan who was fat besides myself. I guess I always was kind of an anomaly.

I'm concerned about how much smaller they'll get, and of course about sagging, though at a young 30 (30 years plus 16 days today!) gravity is really only beginning to rear it's ugly head and I know that size is in my favor.

I've thought of breast implants in the past but decided against them for one of the main reasons I decided against Lap Band-- I don't want a piece of plastic living inside of me for the rest of my life. Plastic degrades (albeit slowly as evidenced by all of the overflowing landfills) and leaves chemicals and byproducts in its wake, as your research has also shown resulting in the liver and lymph involvement of the implants.

Plus I haven't had children yet and hope that babies are one day a part of my future... so I don't think I'd ever have plastic surgery before that happens... but I guess I should never say never!

Anyhow, sorry I couldn't really answer your question. Just wanted to give my perspective on it.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

Hey Jenn.....we should talk sometime.  I can give you some advice if you are interested in this area.

You can get a MRI of the breasts done for as little as $400 to $500 cash. I work in the radiology field. I prefer silicone vs saline. The new silicone implants are built pretty safe now.  they are double bagged. The new Digital Mammo with CAD and/or MRI tech. has come a long way to scan woman with implants. Coming soon will be a new type of digital mammo called Tomosynthesis.

I can recommend an awesome breast surgeon, she used to work in Atherton but moved to Reno. She did all the plastic work on both my sisters who had gastric-bypass: arms, breast lift w/ implants, uppper & lower lift and leg lift.  She also gives great cash pricing. She specializes in bariatic plastic surgery.

I am planning on having my breast lift w/ silicone implants and possible arms done in December.

I know how you feel, I am a DDD.  Or should I say a left DD and a right DDD plus.

I am going to start going to the support group at El camino and may also go to the one at Good Samaritan.  Do you go to any of these?

Girl, just get you a good bra and spend the money on a nice vacation.   In the end, men don't care if they hang low or perky and point to the heavens.  I know my husband could care less, as long as he has something to play with at night, lol!

It sounds like you have a lot to think about but count me in for doing anything I can do to save the tatas!

I have J cup tatas...and I fear the same things you do!  My friend had the same size as me and after her GBS she had a TT and implants.  They were really high but settled very nicely.    She decided to have implants because hers looked like a couple of tube socks with rocks in the bottom.  They were very long and saggy and just unattractive.  The breasts always settle, so them being to high will take care of itself.

I think what it comes down to is what are you wanting to see when you look in the mirror?  Do you mind having to wear a bra with strapless dresses?

Just look at your lifestyle and if your breasts are a big deal.  Do they make you uncomfortable with how they are?  Would just a TT make you feel comfortable with your body?

I think real are always better, but it all comes down to what you hope to see when you look in the mirror and what you can handle mentally.  Some women wig out over the thought of them leaking!

I was a DD until a few years back... They did a reduction and moved the nipples up higher and made them a little smaller. Even with my current weight loss, they still look perky! I'd post a pic, but that waffle guy would probably put my poor old tatas on a Save The Tatas poster and distribute it worldwide! Lmao! Good luck, Chica!
