Today was the day!!! Morning weigh in 199.2!! I can't believe it!! I haven't seen a "1" in 10 years.

7 months and 2 days ago, I had my VSG surgery. I will be honest, the first few months I wondered regularly if I had done the right thing. If only the person I am now could go back and talk to the me back then.... This is INCREDIBLE!!!! I am a changed person and my journey isn't over. I have faith in myself, I never did before. I have hope that someday I can actually be the person who has been living inside buried by a lot of weight, insecurities and fear.
To all of you considering this surgery, it is my opinion that if you are open to a new life style, willing to work hard and never give up, then this is an awesome tool that you will not regret.
For those of you newly sleeved, it will get better and better everyday, so good you can't imagine.
And to all my friends on this board who have supported me thus far, you are amazing and I appreciate your help and strength!

Wow, I just read that back to myself and it sounds as if I'm accepting an award. Lol, sorry, my happiness apparently makes me a little "cheesy"!

My next goal (not end goal) is to be at 168.5 which would mean that I have lost exactly what I am at that point. I would love to be there by my Birthday which is August 2nd, however realistically I have set the date for September 10th. That would be 2 pounds a week. Wish me luck!!

It isn't easy, but oh is it worth it!! I will never miss the 138 pounds I have lost!

Have a great weekend, Thanks for listening!

What an inspiration...I'm in the process of getting surgery. I've been down this process before about 6 years ago but didn't go through with it because I was scared. Now I'm still overweight and now it's time to make that change.

Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on your success!

to my knowledge this is the first post i've read of yours in the times that i've read around this site, but wow, what an inspiration!

i'm already thankful for my sleeve and it's not been 5 weeks yet.  i've lost more than i ever thought i could, but i am still on the end of half thinking that i may not be "long haul" successful and that at some point soon it will stop and i'll be the one person on the planet it will not work for.  realistically i know that's not true, but still...it's the old, and somewhat current self still talking.

i looked at your pictures, and obviously saw your numbers.  to have been able to lose that much weight in such a short time is simply amazing.  i was almost the same weight at you...so now i have a goal!  lol

keep it up.  you are amazing!

Welcome to onderland,   please move right on in and stay forever.   You have done so well and you should be so proud of yourself.  I'm sure you'll reach all your goals.   VSG is a life changing for the better experience and i think most people should have their own sleeve.  I'm so glad i have mine.   Keep up the good work,  you are rocking that sleeve sista  :o) jeani
