Surgery number 6 coming up.(femeal info)

I have not had the best of this year yet lol. My weight loss surgeon was doing my scan on my gallbladder when he got the report back it showed a cyst on my ovary. And I have fibroid 4 of them. My weight loss doctor would not let me do nothing about this he kept on me about me going to see the obgyn so I did that today. Ultra sound found the fibroids are huge and  I have to have a hysterectomy. But first I get to have a DNC because my insurance will not let them just take out the stuff before they do this test. I have never had one hope this will not hurt but does not sound like fun lol.

My obgyn told me to go and kiss and hug my weight loss surgeon because he saved my life. I have said this before I have an awesome general surgeon.

You have an awesome doctor! Sorry to hear about surgery but all will be ok. I just had another surgery Monday and im doing fine except my stomach is so bloated , you would think im 7 month preggers, But Not ! I hope all goes well with your surgery Val and hope this is the last one you need.

I am happy you are doing well after your surgery I was Reading about your surgery and it sounded like a big one. I hope this is my last surgery till my tummy tuck in January.

Wow. I'm sure glad they found them - but sorry you have to go through yet another surgery. Wishing you an uneventful procedure and speedy recovery.

I have had a D&C and a hysterectomy and they were a breeze.  And the end of TOM!!  Can I get an AMEN!!   You will not miss that at all.  Hope you feel better soon.  And on to plastics.

 Thanks all I am still kind of in shock that they found them to be so huge as my doc said when he looked he said OH my lol. Guess I knew then it is surgery time again. But I will not miss that time of month it will be great.

But now when i gain some weight I can not blame it on that. I do not like that idea lol.

Your WLS has been a blessing in more ways than one. Sorry you are having to go through all this, but I am really glad that they found the fibroids before you had more problems.

Sorry you have to go through this, glad they found them while they are fibroid tumors.  That could have gone un-noticed and gotten much more dangerous.

Hey Valerie--I too have to have a hysterectomy, for post-menopausal bleeding. I had a D&C for this about 3 years ago, but the bleeding never went away, and then intensifed 1 week ago. I hear the operation is pretty easy, in hospital one night, then home, and should be easy for us old pros. The only thing I am worried about is another round of hair loss from this additional surgery. I wish you the best of luck and am glad we found each other and can commiserate together. I had a very bad time with the VSG, as had a leak and went thru hell for 8 weeks (surgery was 1-24-11) and it has only been the last month or two that I now feel really really strong and healthy again. (on treadmill, etc). From what I understand you had to have a bunch of surgeries too. Message me if you want. We can stay in touch that way. Good luck!---we will weather this too.  PS--my Gyn doctor told me it could be the metabolism of the fat cells and the release of estrogen from the fat cells that can cause uterine bleeding.  weird, huh?
