Holy Spit! Has it really been 3 years?????
Aloha BAG-
You are so early out in this journey! Right now you should try focusing on getting your liquids and proteins in, and exercising as you can. Plus- take photos and measurements before you lose too much! I used liquid proteins ( still use shakes) to accomplish my water and protein intake- in the summer I'd pour my liquyid protein over crushed or shaved ice and eat it like a snow cone- it slowed me down, weas refreshing, and I was able to get everything in by 3 weeks out.
Continued success to you- you're gonna love it! XOXOLori

Continued great success to you! And fond memories of Lake Truesdale and Waccabuc! XOXOLori

Aloha Lina-
You must surely be enjoying the new body you have, and congrats for choosing to take control of your life earlier than I did- I was just too frightened of failure and in denial. I'm so thrilled to have had this technology available to me now so I don't lose any more time with my family, career, friends, and adventures!
Best of luck and continued success- XOLori

Thank you so much for your post ! This has been such a learning experience for me -- to be able to make these fantastic changes at 55 years old, and to really find the "DO-OVER" button has been nothing less than mind blowing for me. I am just now getting to the point of "seeing" the results in the mirror - and of feeling different.
I have lost the cane I was walking with - and although I will still need knee repacements - I am off of narcotic pain relief, and because of my wonderful VSG can actually take anti-inflammatories that keep me comfortable.
I am exercising for the first time in my life. Going to Cruves 3x a week, and taking 10 minute walks on my off days (what my joint doc and PT have agreed on to build some muscle, but create no more damage).
This is THE MOST exciting, and wonderful time for me. Not easy, but exciting and wonderful !
I look forward to my future -- and my first "skinny" goal -- going horseback riding in Yosemite this coming August (where I worked some 30+ years ago !) As I am finally under the weight limit !!!!! Half Dome ? Dunno if even new knees will take that, but....back packing in the high country ? Next year !!!
