Thunder thighs and other such wobbly bits....

I am ok with the wobbly skin, really I am (not really, but I will repeat the mantra because it is better than the alternative), but it is getting in the way of exercising.  My thighs literally make a wacking sound when I am jogging.  I can wear 2 sports bras and control the gravity defying antics of the girls, but what do others do about the thighs and panny?  I am nervous of spanx type products and the resulting yeast infections.... Suggestions?

Thanks,
Jenn

Cheap spanx type stuff & cut the crotch out and wear reg cotton undies under or over (whichever works best)? Or control top pantyhose, same deal- cut legs off at knee & cut cotton crotch out if needed?

I think they have compression shorts for women. Try a sporting goods store or online you can wear other cloths over them.

I know your mantra, and am hoping it eventually adjusts my attitude too.  As for the jiggly mess, try biking shorts.  I took a biking trip in years past, and they kept my then thunder thighs from chafing.  I bet they would control the motion with jogging too.  And I admire your jogging, walking is still the best I can find the motivation for.

Check out Old Navy online.  They just came out with a line of compression workout clothes for women.

I don't think that the sweat induced yeast infection will be a problem as long as you are not wearing them ALL day.

Thanks everyone!  I will check out ON, and try cutting out the crotch on some old spanx, or maybe even an old pair of my hubbies long boxer briefs.

Spandex bike shorts!!! I get them for working out and get  a size or two smaller and my thunder thighs are controlled!!

I get mine from www.plussizeathleticwear.com - and get the danskin brand.  They are more cotton i think and keep me cool and are breathable. I love love love love them.

I wear bike style shorts (not padded like actual bike shorts) under my running shorts.  I have had no issues with yeast, at all, and I run outside in Florida.  I was literally soaking wet when I came in from my run yesterday morning at my Inlaws on Palm Beach.  There's no more humid place in the world this time of year.

Fila do compression Capris which I'm currently wearing after a thigh lift as I need to keep my thighs from swelling - they are very comfortable and I wear them in the gym all the time. They help keep you cool and dry as they have special moisture control fabric.

I think I got mine from Amazon.com

Great job on exercising
