Plain Fage 2% as a sour cream substitute....but I also like it with grapes mixed in. Feels and reminds me of whipped cream. It is my fave supper substitute when I can't think of what to make.

I like the Cabot's Greek Yoghurt in French Vanilla.  Excellent alone.  If you want a little sweeter, try adding a little agave nectar.  I also use it in smoothies or with some fresh fruit mixed in.

I agree with the others...use it in place of sour cream. I've sweetened it with splenda for a dessert-like effect also.

I posted about a recipe I tried last night and really liked. I bought one of those packs of Kashmir Spinach (with soft paneer cheese) they sell in the Indian section in the grocery store and mixed it with Fage Greek Yogurt. I really liked it.

I also used it as a substitute for Sour Cream in a recipe for Cold Cucumber Soup and I think it came out better than it would have with the sour cream.

I have tried adding syrups, but so far have not found a "sweet" version I loved.

Where did you post the palak paneer recipe? I'd love to get a copy of that. I've been missing that dish.

So apparently I'm the only person in the world who actually likes the stuff.  I use the Fage 0% and usually just put a couple of packets of splenda in it.  Sure, it tastes different than a lot of things you've been used to eating, and apparently it's an acquired taste, but its hard to beat 18 grams of protein in 100 calories.  I would probably eat it for that reason even if I didn't like it. I'd suggest just giving the taste a chance.  Eat it occasionally without telling yourself you hate it.  You may come to actually enjoy the taste.

I really like the Fage 2%, I can't eat the 0%... too tart for me and I love tart! I mix abotu 1/3 c of the Fage into protein shakes.

I couldn't stand the Chobani or the Oikos. It all comes down to personal taste!

Ok, don't tell my doctor but from day 1 when I began eating gy i would buy the fat free plain (Fage has the most protein per cup of the brands I know so I go for that) and i mix a teaspoon of honey in a serving. I know we are not supposed to have any sugar but this tiny bit makes the gy so much better and oddly has never made me crave other sugar. Brown sugar splenda might work too as it has some real sugar.    You can also get a sugar free pudding cup and mix it with an equal amount of greek yogurt and its like cheesecake. Can sneak some protein powder in this mixture too. Diane

I love the Fage and Chobani fruit ones, but b'c of the sugar/carb content, I just got some sugar free preserves (strawberry and blackberry) and mix a tablespoon of that with some artificial sweetener in it.

Maybe one day i'll give up the artificial sweeteners, but I'm on the "one battle at a time' track - I can't go all health crazy all at once :-p
