Hi Everybody,
I am home and recovering now from my sleeve. Everything went well the only issues I am finding is I have alot of back pain and I am finding some discomfort after swalling a little bit of liquids especially liquid tylenol for my headache. was wondering if anyone else went through any of the same and if so what was your magical cure

With Gods help I am going to beat this!

Time! Time is the cure.. and stay ahead of the discomfort with the meds, it will make your recuperation easier if you aren't suffering. You may want to put the liquid meds in a little water to dilute them if they irritate your stomach.. tiny sips of fluids, the entire time you are awake, and wander around your house every hour or so.. it helps.

I had my sleeve done on Oct 4th I am in the puree stage of eating it is like heaven.  Just keep your fluids down and keep the pain meds coming. I tried to taper off my meds and I thought my insides where going to fall off.

As others have stated it will get better with time. You still have a lot of swelling at this point from the surgery but I promise it will get better just take it one day at a time and b4 you know it a month will have gone by! Just keep sipping because you dint want to get dehydrated! Congrats on your new journey!

sip sip sip slowly, walk around slowly, and take your pain meds around the clock so you can sip and walk, and sleep and heal. I will scoot down on the loser's bench to make room for you !!!
