OMG! SHUT-UP! Carbs really do cause cravings....

Ok just a note I haven't had anything even remotely related, by distant 3rd or 4th cousin, to a carb! I even went into Ketosis for almost two or three days right before Thanksgiving and then it all went sour...oooohhh baby did it ever!

Well of course i'm exaggerating a bit but I couldn't get back on trac****il today. It took me 4 days to get back into the groove of life without carbs. It was like a vampire had a hold of my soul. Anyway yall just be careful because it's carbs out there waiting for one of us around any corner...

I can attest to that....they do cause cravings. Major cravings. Willpower is difficult to come by avoiding them but it can be accomplished. I have found it is about a 4 or 5 day process to break a craving, but something that can be done.

Carbs tend to be foods that hurt my stomach so I only want to run, run far away.

I eat healthy carbs and they do not cause any cravings - whole grains, and fruits/veggies.

Sugar (other than my fruits), thats a whole other story...

I am most successful when I avoid all carbs, even "whole" grains. The body doesn't require any intake of dietary carbs to live and be healthy, so I just assume avoid them. The only carbs I normally consume come from nuts, non-starchy veggies, full-fat dairy, and occasional fruit (but never fruit ALONE - always with some fat and protein, like peanut butter or cheese).

Ditto!  And the detox, for me, takes 3-4 days.  Once I'm through that, it's much easier to stay away.

Carbs aren't evil for everyone, but for me, they are pretty close to it.
