Because someone posted the idea to crisp up the cheese to make something crunchy and noted that it was one of his recipes.

I posted a request for a low/no carb crunchy snack and really didn't like the choices although I did not try the spicy pork rinds yet because I couldn't find them.
I did try putting hot sauce on the plain ones....ummm well not so great... just not hitting it.

Then....
Someone posted this idea to crisp up the low fat cheese sticks and OMG
Yeah!

Now THATS what I'm talking about!

Hit the spot!
Just what I needed.

If I ever get to goal...and I'm TRYING...I will dedicate my butt to FRISCO! LOL

Just saying...I mean kidding...

I went to the store an got the low cal/fat cheese sticks.

Cut them into strips length wise....three was all I could manage with my knife.

Then put them on a paper plate (the waxed kind, because real plates and paper plates do not work out well)
Put them in the microwave on high  for a minute.

And then they come out all crispy and tasty!

The post said that Frisco, puts things like tuna and/or chicken salad on them. But I just dashed some hot sauce on them and broke them up like chips and munched away..

It def hit the spot.

I'm thinking "dip" right about now...
you?
Lol

Actually Frisco said this wasn't his idea but had tried it.  Although props to frisco, I love seeing his food porn and would be awesome to see a receipe book from him.  Kerry

I do this with all kinds of shredded cheese as well.   I made it with little piles of shredded italian cheese (great value)   I also like to nuke pepporoni slices in the microwave for 1 min and they are all crispy.   I was playing monoploy with the family the other night and I gave them a bowl of chex mix and christmas cookies and I had my cheese crisps and pepporonis that I made and somewhere in the game I had my son offering to trade me a property I needed for some cheese crisps.  LOL   I loved it and made the trade.  LOL

I am not at the stage where I can eat these cheese crisps, but the first time I try them I think I am going to use cheddar cheese and a little tiny bit of cooked turkey bacon bits placed into the cheddar cheese so when they melt the little bacon bits will be in them, and then a little dollup of ff sour cream... wha-la! A "potato skin" wannabe!! (yes, I have way too much time right now to daydream about food!) LOL

These photos really are a reminder of how tasty and interesting post-op eating can be...and to buy nicer plates.
