It's my one year surgiversary!!!!!!!!!!!! (long)
hi all!!!!!
it's my one year surgiversary today!!!!!! so excited and so pleased to be 8 lbs away from the century club!!!
i can't believe that i have come so far and i never would have believed it was possible!!!!!!! thank goodness for my sleeve!!! best decision i've ever made for my health. have a check up with internist in a couple of weeks so hope to get off things like metformin!!!! going for follow-up with surgeon today (on the surgiversary -- coool!!!!) and really excited that it's today. i'm bound to weigh a little more on their scale, i always do, but hopefully under 170. i'm 168.7 at home. my all-time high weight was 266, so really, i'm within 2 lbs of 100 for that one!
i have gone the whole year either losing or staying the same for a couple of weeks!!! i was so nervous about x-mas eating and falling off the wagon that i went from 12/15 to 1/8 to weight myself and then i had lost 2 lbs!!!!
if you're wondering if this surgery is a good idea -- please do it. i'm not a perfect patient by any means, eat 1200 cals b/c i've been told by the FNP at the program not to go below that for any reason, and i eat carbs along with protein first and then veggies. and i'm a slow loser. but it's working and that's what matters to me!
if any newbies have questions -- i'm here. if you're about to have surgery and are scared to death, pm me and we can "talk". i was scared to death 1 yr ago as i got ready to go into surgery and the first couple of weeks SUCKED, but it got better and better and now i can tell you that i feel completely normal, i just can't eat as much.
so, rock on sleeve!!!!!
