If all else fails, try adding unflavored protein powder to something you DO like.
I use Syntrax Unflavored, bought through drugstore.com, and I really can't taste it.
It makes clear drinks turn cloudy, but they aren't "thick".
You can use it to add protein to anything, but as you surely already know, be careful when adding it to really hot stuff or it will clump.
Hang in there, you'll find something!

I really needed this, had an entire container of the ON Vanilla ice cream, i was about to throw out. Initially it worked for me mixing it with skim milk but that started to make me gag, so I decided to try water, big Mistake. Well since I don't want to just waste it, I'm going to try your concotion {fingers crossed}.
not sure as i havent asked my nutritionist about them but the Protidiet juices are what i used a couple years ago from a place here in town...

Ditto to all the above. Also, early on your tastes change so much, I remember I could gag on anything sweet. That will pass with time, it will get easier. Just keep trying to find something that you can tolerate. Good luck, and don't get rid of the stuff you didn't like, you may like it further out again.

I have texture issues with smoothies. I used strawberry or unflavored Unjury protein with crystal light lemonade or fruit punch so it was more of a regular drink than a smoothie. The smell is much better while drinking it, but don't lean down and sniff while making it. I used Unjury chicken broth protein to put in Imagine Organic free-range chicken broth- doesn't dissolve if too hot.

Oh Jill, I TOTALLY relate. I've been whining on here for 2 weeks about protein. I'm STILL having issues with it. It's awful. We WILL get the through this. The ONLY thing I'm able to tolerate right now is decaf coffee mixed with a scoop of chocolate truffle and even then I gag. I hate coffee to begin with but it does cut/kill the taste of the protein. I have to have the coffee 100F or less or it seizes up on me and get all grainy and disgusting. By the time I've drank the 8 ounce cup of coffee, it's room temperature and gross. I did like the flavor of the ONE packet of Vanilla Bean Torte that I had but again, I was in the learning stage and got my coffee too hot and it seized up on me. I wasn't able to drink it after that.
