Hair lost
My instructions say to take zinc once every three days. I haven't started it yet, but I need to get on that. Double check with your surgeon about when he wants you to start.
As far as "can't lose me hair..." it'll either happen or not. Nothing you can do at this point but follow your doctor's instructions and pray for the best. The good news is that, from what everyone who has lost hair post op says, the hair does grow back.
It'll all be worth it. You're doing great already. Keep it up!

My hair is also EXTREMELY important to me. Even when I was huge and didn't look cute, my hair always did so it's kind of my "thing". lol
I took biotin a couple months pre op and then continued it post op. Getting enough protein is important (and the threat of losing hair due to insufficient protein is usually enough to make me stay on track even when I want to go to bed and my protein is only 46 grams that day.) I stay up a little longer and down a nasty shake if I have to. lol

This is the best thread! Years ago when I looking at WLS (prior to my band) I decided I could NOT get a bypass because there wasn't anyway I was giving up my hair! lol.....oh and my surgeon's direction is to start taking vitamins one week post op. They gave a very detailed, regimented plan of exactly what they want you to take. Hello! at this point, I ambarely getting my PPI, anti spasm and steroid in, ick!
