Aw shucks Ruggie, you are a sweetie.  And I owe a lot to Frisco and Elina and McMadame and Jimbo and a whole bunch of others who helped me. Those of us who do this mentoring are not entirely unselfish. We get a lot out of it too.

Now you will become a mentor and vsg leader. The more committed people we have to this maintenance journey the more we can learn to make it work.

Great job, we salute you Ruggie.  Diane

Actually, I was kinda hoping to transition into more of an 'arch-nemesis' role to spice things up a bit, but I suppose mentorship is alright as well.

Hey Ruggie - go ahead and be the arch-nemesis on the boards and challenge everyone. IN fact you can be the enforcer, taskmaster, domiator, teacher, official scientist or whatever role you like!!!!!  Just keep up with the interesting and fun posts please.

Diane

Well...

When the blood has dried, and the corpses have rotted, and we're freezing in the depths of nuclear winter, we can all recognize that we have Diane to blame for it.....

well we won't have to worry about nuclear winter because without our former fat stores we will perish first and the fat will inherit the earth. so be it.   diane

And you are an inspiration to others too.

True story:

I had my registered dietician come up to my Sacramento support group yesterday to speak to my group.  She's newly hired from my surgeon, and knows about bariatric patients, but not so much about this Obesity Help website.

So she's telling us about how she's checking out the site to see what patients post about so she can understand what they're feeling, and she says "this one person has a really great avatar that I think we should all think about - it said don't treat yourself like a dog and reward yourself with food like we do with dogs!"  I about died!
