I pulled out my Wii Fit this morning and if I can get the platform to work again, I intend to use it!

If not, maybe I'll do some very slow, easy movement "Dance! Dance!"

I'll take the two flights of stairs from the ground level to my office several times today and the need and opportunity  arises.

Tonight I workout with my trainer - cardio, abs, and weights.  Will update with details of the workout tonight.   :)

How does the couch to 5k thing work? Do you run so much everyday up to 5k?

I downloaded a program to my smart phone. It tells me when to run and when to walk.  It is a gradual build up to being able to run 5K.  First week was 5 minute warm up, 1 minute run, 90 seconds walk brisk, 1 minute run, 90 seconds walk brisk and so on. It is 30 minute sessions with warm up and cool down. Second week, 5 minute warm up, 90 second run, 2 minute walk, and so on.  It is really quite simple. But I am only just starting my second week.  Before I started this I did 50 minutes interval training on Elliptical (3.5miles) daily, now I do it on off days from running program.  I am hoping to start a weight program for upper body and core soon.

I took the train to work today, which involves quite a bit more walking than usual, so there's that. I'll also take a quick walk at lunch, and then another one this evening at home. Hopefully upwards of 8000+ steps, which is more than I'd been doing before surgery. With two arthritic knees, I have to be careful about pacing myself. Some unexpected stairs last week did me in for day or so. Need to manufacture another couple hours in each day to give me time to get to the gym so that I can ride the stationary bike. Once I'm cleared for more strenuous exercise, I'll add back my knee strengthening and other universal machine exercises.

Maybe I'll get the Wii Walk it Out with my next Amazon order.

I will be doing 90-120 minutes of cardio and weights Monday - Wednesday and resting Thursday & Friday as I am doing a 5k Mud Run on Saturday so I will take it fairly easy and just get some walking in towards end of the week so I'm not sore. Looking forward to a great week.
