I agree with sassy, one pair of dress pants, one skirt, maybe two or three tops and then mix and match.

they make nice up to date styles of clothes with drawstrings and elastic waist bands...they are my friends, not just for granny anymore...  

also, online clearance sections with their search functions are my friend....  I simply put in the size and price as under $20....  and I shop from the results...

Thrift stores for sure! I go on Wednesdays when everything is 1/2 off.  A pair of pants costs me 1.50 (for nice brands, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic etc.).  I wash them and they are like new!

I have gone down a size a month for the past 3 months so I understand the changing of sizes a lot!

Another suggestion EBay lots. People put lots of clothing together you can see if someone has your size and buy it.

 Old Navy Clearance section as well.  I've had pretty good luck with that.  If you attend support group meetings sometimes you can put a call out for that.  I've found though that I'm much younger than most of them so styles don't really mesh.
