IN need of input.......... Many of us will lose weight while we're holding down a 9-5. We're going to need clothes that fit during this ordeal. My thought is: what's your thoughts on buying clothes from consignment shops, goodwills, etc, etc?? I mean really, you're going to pay low prices for them. You're prolly only going to wear them for a month or two. The prices are low. You're donating to a good cause, 'specially when you re-donate them because they're too large. I mean, why waste $$$$$........... Your thoughts, please...   or not?

What kind of places are you looking at for clothing? Will they take them back?

Most of us have done this nothing wrong about it. There is also Old Navy, Fashion Bug, and my fav Nordstrom Rack. Lots of cheap outlet stores online.

That is my plan. While I was on vacation, I went to a goodwill store and bought multiple things, quite a few of them still had original tags on them. One pair of designer pants had tags for $79 and I got for $3. No brainier!

I have to wear professional business suits, and so I had to buy them from Ross  - they were relatively cheap but still draining on the pocket book. :(((

Alison,

If I may make a suggestion....

While it won't help you save money, many cities have clothes closets for women on welfare trying to get back into the work force.  We know women come in all shapes and sizes!  If you're interested check around for "work readiness" programs.  They may really benefit from your loss (literally and figuratively!)

I am also a business professional, and have been getting by on shopping at Goodwill, Salvation Army, consignment stores and Ebay.  You'd be amazed at how many NICE things you can find, often brand-new.  You need to put a little work in, and be good at combing through those racks!! I also occasionally hit Lane Bryant, Kohl's, and Old Navy, though Old Navy doesn't have nice enough "work" clothes for me.  I've done many re-donations of these second-hand clothes once I have shrunk out of them.  Your plan is 100% do-able!

Thank you very much.... I guess once we get past our pride, we wouldnt have an issue in buying used clothes. However, we've gotten past our prides to have WLS......
