%^&%^&^%& HICCUPS
Its probably related to eating or drinking too fast. Do you notice that they come close to a meal time or when you are drinking? Are you drinking with a straw - if so its easier to drink faster than you should.

For hiccup relief, have you tried drinking upside-down? I've gotten them about 3 times since surgery (which was one day before you) and I take a medium-sized sip of water into my mouth, bend forward CAREFULLY as far as is comfortable, and then swallow. This has always worked for me in the past.

I got them like that too right at first. But it ended a couple weeks post op for me. Now I only get them for about 30 seconds after I drink or eat sometimes. Maybe once every other day. But no where near as painful, just annoying now.
“Not many of us are living at our best. We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains. The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills. We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence. What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb. What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.? JRM
I used to get them all the time too - not necessarily after eating or drinking - just out of the blue. I would actually hiccup and burp a lot at the same time. It basically went away, not really sure when. Let's just say I'm 7 weeks out and only get them on very rare occasions. I think it will just pass.
