A little help please

I had my clear liquid diet yesterday and I was told nothing after midnight. But since I don't have to be at the hospital until 12 pm I just want to know if its okay to drink water right now, I tried calling my doctors nurse but of course they are already in surgery, I just don't want to be dehydrated and I am kinda thirsty, lol. On a good note I woke up 2lbs lighter since yesterdays clear liquid diet, woo hoo! Let's do this

Girl...its almost your time!!! Prayers going out for ya. Maybe call the hospital and ask for someone in the surgical department. I wish I could be more help. Keep us posted and save my spot on the losers bench.

Don't drink anything because there will be a chance they will cancel surgery if you have anything. Swish water around in your mouth and spit it out.. The first few days are rough. I am only 5 days out.. be strong cause this part really sucks.

Heighest weight: 433.5, Pre surgery weight 383.5

My surgery wasn't until 4:30 PM and they said "Nothing by mouth, period". Good luck!

YAY! Today is YOUR day and a day that you will remember the rest of your life! Congratulations!

DON'T DRINK! The reason they have you "nothing by mouth" is due to the anesthesia they give you. They don't want you to aspirate (throw up) during surgery. And don't worry about getting dehydrated - they will be giving you plenty of fluids over the next couple days :)
