Sorry lots of questions this week!

Did your surgeon put you on a PPI or did you start that on your own? Was it your family Dr?

I am not one one but thinking maybe I should be I just wanted to see how everyone else got started and I am going to talk to my doctor about it.

My surgeon put me on one as soon as I was home from the hospital.

Highest weight: 277 Starting Weight: 250 Surgery Weight: 241 Current Weight: 130

Goal Reached in 10.5 months :)

I have a hiatal hernia, and am still experiencing heartburn after surgery. My doctor put me on one 6 weeks out.

you should take it! the PPI is designed to reduce stomach acid to aid in your stomach healing. Did you talk to your doctor before discontinuing it? Hes smart enough to cut a major organ, but not know what you need to heal?

I didn't stop it he never gave me one or instructions ted me to do so. I think I should be on one and I have a call into him asking about it. I was just wondering how everyone else started theirs

My surgeon started me on one right after surgery. He had me take it for 3 months or so post-op.
