Hey OH !

I’m thrilled and excited to announce that “Cafe Frisco” has gone live at LapSF.com !!!!

After many months of work and anticipation it’s now real !!!

Gabriella and Nicole at LapSF really gave this an effort to make it real.

Cafe Frisco is where I chose to house my “Food Blog” (not sure yet if I even like the word blog) Cafe Frisco is all about “Food Concepts” and meal planning for successful post operative eating. It has recipes and photos, but what I really hope to communicate are the concepts. Proper portions and nutritional values that are inline for weight loss and maintenance.

Over the next weeks and months I will be working with Dr. Cirangle and his registered dietitian Gabrielle to create content with the intention of building a very strong library of recipes, tools, tips and tricks and overall Concepts to a new healthy relationship with food, eating and meal planning.

Three years ago I went to Dr. Cirangle for WLS at 350lbs. I was ready to give up food as I once knew it. Food was killing me a slow death. All I really knew how to cook was what I called “Dude Food”. So between the education and guidelines I learned through Dr. Cirangle and his aftercare program I took an interest in food preparation as a matter of survival within the given parameters. Cafe Frisco represents a work in progress as I continue my education and efforts for my own personal weight related goals.

Many thanks to this site and forum for letting me use you all as a barometer to take it to this level.

I have about 50 more in the immediate works and another 100 concepts in my notes.

Please visit Cafe Frisco at LapSF.com !!!

Thanks for your support !

***Full Disclosure

Just to keep things on the up and up so no assumptions are made......

At this time I am not a paid employee or sub contractor of LapSF or Dr. Cirangle for Cafe Frisco. It doesn't mean I wouldn't charge LapSF for other services or reimbursement for expenses incurred. It means at this time I’m not collecting any fee’s for Cafe Frisco.

I had/have the opportunity to take Cafe Frisco any number of different directions. I could have shopped it out to other bariatric programs and I’m sure I could have had some takers. I could have done my own website/blog with the intention of financial gain. I could have gone straight to book form. All of which are still possibilities but at this time I felt it more important to stay aligned with my surgeon for my own personal goals and education.

By keeping my alignment with Dr. Cirangle and LapSF, Cafe Frisco will be “Very Official” this is not just another Food Blog by some WLS patient. This is supported and approved by one of the best Bariatric Surgeons with nutritional evaluations done by his registered dietitian specializing in bariatrics.

What do I get.... continued education, credibility and validation for my efforts, and the positive feeback that it really helps/benefits people keeps me motivated to the process !!!

OK, I have a question.  How are we going to know when you post something new?  Is it something that will come out every month?

yah know.... that's a good question.....a work in progress......

I know I don't want to be the one that announces new updates all the time and I'm sure it would dance the lines of OH's TOS

Didn't think it that far out !!!!

Just have the webmaster add an RSS feed... I think that's pretty standard for nearly any website these days.

And CONGRATULATIONS and Thank You!
