Abandoning Protein Powders
I think I am abandoning powder and going full RTD. I have been collecting samples and I just finished my first jug of chocolate and I have half a vanilla and a whole banana left. The problem is I get sick of them too quickly. The RTDs are much smoother than I can make even in a blender or a shaker bottle. The blender makes them foamy. I am going to finish up the powder I have and all the samples, but I think my main stay after that will be RTDs.

Keith i can relate i hate taking my protein/ muscle milk shake in the morning ,yuck but cant find any ready to drink products that doesn't make me want to hurl too. Let me know if you find good tasting drinks with allot of protein in them, i need at least 80 grams of protein a day... and just figured it is just what i had to(protein powders) put up with for the remainder of my life....
I have been drinking EAS AdvantEdge protein drinks since pre-diet, they are RTD, and so convenient, and the taste is fine for me; I've tried strawberry (it's ok), Chocolate Fudge (good), Rich Dark Chocolate (my Fav), and Cafe Carmel Latte (it's ok), I never tried the French Vanilla. I get mine at Walmart, they are $4.74 for a pack of 4, they are 17 g protein and 110 calories in 11oz. I'm still drinking 1-2 a day.
I have to say I did purchase the Click protein powder sample packets, to give it a try, everyone raves about them. I thought they were just ok and haven't purchased any more. RTD is the way for me!
Its funny we are all so different. I pretty much hate all protein supplements. I can not tolerate RTD's at all. I have tried sooo many through sample and purchase, powders, RTD's , bars, pudding, whatever. What seems to happen to me is I can only tolerate a certain type for a certain time, like you.
Right now my go to flavor is Syntrax strawberry mousse flavor. I didn't think I would like the fake strawberry but it was my favorite of about 2 dozen samples. Syntrax does not taste "chemicaly" to me and is not thick, texture is a real problem for me.
Keith there are "recipes" to make different flavors of drinks. I have had protein hot chocolate thats good too. The fact is, its a necessary evil....I tried to not use them in the past several weeks and my losses were slow as tar. This week I added them back in and low and behold I lost 2 Lbs, coincidence? Maybe.
I really like CYTOMAX whey isolate RTD tangerine. This is not a shake. It's almost like an orange drink with little aftertaste. 16.9 oz has 32g protein. I just bought a whole case from health food store located at my doc's office. Can also be ordered online. Several people I know like this. I too am sick of the powders but will use up what I have left eventually. I figure in order to get in enough protein I will have to have some form of protein in liquid form. But this really does taste good to me.
