So who all here mixes their coffee (for me decaf for the first year ) with the protein shakes instead of water or milk? Also does anyone find a problem with clumping if you mix hot coffee with your protein powders? thx in advance for your input

Protein powder will clump if the coffee is too hot.

From the Unjury website:

* For all UNJURY flavors, do not use in liquids hotter than 140º F. Proteins, when heated, change texture. For example, you have seen an egg white go from a clear gel, to firm white, when cooked. For UNJURY, in a hot liquid, the proteins tend to clump. A food thermometer is a good way to get the temperature nicely warm…just right.

I don't use decaf, i blend the protein mix with a smaller amount of water than I normally would and add it as creamer.  I too like iced coffee.

I found if you use a whisk.. it is possible for unjury to mix well in hot soup or coffee.  Just more work ;0)

I mix with coffee, especially this time of year. I usually make a slurry with 1/4-1/2 cup milk, soy slender or something like that and a scoop of powder. I use a small whisk at home and have a battery frother at work. Then slowly add hot coffee. If it's too cold, nuke for 20-25 seconds-more than that usually makes it turn. There was another post on this recently and it's amazing how many different ways folks do this!

I found the Bariwise can be mixed at a much higher temp that unjury.  I mix it with decaf for my high protein breakfast as I was not ever up to food in the am.

So mix with milk then add to my coffee? I need it hot this time of year.

I mix it with coffee all the time.  I make a cup, let it cool just a bit - but I still like it warm.  I add splenda, sf creamer, sf syrups and one scoop of Syntrax Cappucino.  I also make a frozen frappuccino type protein drink: coffee iced cubes, almond plus milk, protein powder, sf syrup and blend!  you can be really creative with syrups and protein flavor mixes.
