Some of you asked so here it is....
I have had a few requests for: “What are you doing?” I recently shared with all of you my success. I have lost 203.4 pounds in just less than nine months. For those who have been there or are on the journey you most likely understand. For those who are thinking about it or are in the beginning of their journey I hope this helps. Please understand that these are only my opinions and you are very much able to disagree with me, just what I believe because it what I have lived.
First things first – The sleeve or any form of WLS is only a tool. It’s not a miracle surgery that will make you change your life forever. You will lose weight if you have any WLS. Unfortunately there are those who have had the surgery that do not change their mental approach towards food, health and fitness. Without a drastic change in the relationship you have with health and fitness WLS is only a temporary solution to problem that in my opinion is responsible for many dark and dreary things. Here is where my opinion might differ from some; I believe that we are all food addicts. We used food as a comfort for some sort of insecurity at one point and it led to an addiction that was far from easy to overcome and even for difficult to sustain. I myself am addicted to fast food and soda, I vowed to never touch either again FOREVER! I am still very much in what I consider the “recovery” stage of my addiction and it’s a slippery slope. Each day I am faced with choices to do what I know is right and do what I feel like might be ok once and a while. It’s a learning process and something I battle daily!
Where I might differ from some is the amount of time I spend in the gym. I experienced once stall when I reached 300 pounds it took me three weeks to crack that mark and I decided then I never wanted to do that again! The stall was depressing and almost drove me to throw in the towel. So I research how to avoid the stall and came up with the idea of “body confusion” My workouts change constantly, rarely doing the same thing more than a day at a time, certainly not a weekly routine. I work out every day, sometimes twice or three times a day. I make sure that I fit it in my schedule, and it has become a part of who I am.
I do several things for exercise:
My Gym – www.fns360.com
Fit Class – One hour of Weight/ Cardio Circuit training.
Flow Class – One hour of Yoga, Trigger Point, Stretching and Palates mixed together.
Bike – Road bike ( training for Triathlon)
Swim
Run
I am training to complete my first Triathlon. Currently I do 6-8 Fit classes a week. Flow classes 1-2 times a week. Bike at least once a week, Run 3 times a week and Swim 2-3 times a week. I have to keep a calendar to remind me what I am doing that day. It’s a rigorous schedule but I am in the best shape of my life and after the Triathlon this will slow down to a much lighter version of the above.
Here is my typical day with food and exercise:
6AM workout
Breakfast - Pure Protein banana protein shake.
Snack – Greek Yogurt with Raw Walnuts.
Lunch – Side salad with half avocado and a light dressing.
Snack – Fruit of some kinds and raw walnuts.
Snack - Pure Protein banana protein shake.
5:30PM Workout # 2 – this is the one I typically change up.
Dinner – Two egg omelet ( used to only use one egg) with Fresh Mushroom, Spinach, half avocado and light cheese.
Snack – this changes – yogurt, or string cheese, sometimes a protein pudding.
That is a typical day for me!
Thank you,
Mario

" WLS is only a temporary solution"
I can't hear that often enough. Thanks for the reminder, and congratulations on your hard work and progress.
I have a basement but don't dwell in it full time.
This is awesome information. I know when I'm at a more reasonable weight and I'm not stuffed full of food all the time that I turn into an exercise fanatic, too. I LOVE to exercise, but when my entire digestive is packed full, I just can't do it. Sure, I'm looking forward to new clothes and being able to fit in a airplane seat better, but I can't wait to exercise again.

Thanks for sharing but can I ask you to share just a bit more? What are the measurements on the food, how many calories, how much protein, how many carbs? Do you track this or let the workouts take care of you? And how long did it take you after surgery to get to this point of activity?
I have not had surgery. From Canada and will have to do self pay in Mexico. I'm ready but family doctor refuses to help me with paper work. Love reading success stories. Thanks.
If you can do this without having the surgery please do! I posted the food lay out below. Please keep in mind I am now 9 months out. I was eating about a 1000-1200 calories at 3 months out.
