Weird Weight Loss Pattern
I am 5 and a half months post op and have noticed a strange pattern emerging lately. It would appear that every time I have a significant loss now that the next day I am up a half to a pound more than the day before with no significant change in exercise or food. For example I had a couple of flat days last week but on Sunday morning I showed a 4 lbs loss. I had a great food and exercise day yesterday and I was expecting to see the same or less but I was up about 0.8 lbs. Nothing to cry about just find it weird that after 4 months of pretty steady losses to have this roller coaster thing just start happening in the past month.
Not complaining, I'm still losing just find it weird.
The advantage of weighing every day is that you start to see the normal fluctuations in your weight, and you can start to see what is normal for you.
The disadvantage is that you see the normal fluctuations in your weight! Which is why I have decided to forgo the daily drama (for me!) and just focus on weekly weigh ins.
Early on, I would weigh every day, then 2x a week, now once a week.
I weigh and record every day. The last time I was looking for patterns I did not have the small gains or no losses recorded as I was only recording my losses. I record everything now so I can look to see if there is any pattern to the foods I eat (i.e. higher fat, higher carbs, lower protein, high sodium, etc.) this way I can fine tune.
