Hello all,

I'm new to this post and was hoping to announce happy news, but it has been the opposite! During my surgery on Monday 3/25, the surgeon found a huge hiatal hernia, repaired it, and all my troubles started then. The following morning during the barium drink exam, none of the liquid went through! I was prescribed antiinflammatory medication, and still nothing. On Wednesday, I went into surgery again, and he removed some of the sutures on the hernia, and still I can't drink anything. It seems my esophagus is not in the "right angle" and he is suggesting another surgery to fix that on Saturday.

I need you to keep me in your prayers please, I'm feeling very discouraged and depressed!!

So sorry you are dealing with complications.....sending hugs and prayers your way. Keep your spirits up, your goal in mind and think of this as a temporary set back. (I know....easier said than done). But try...

They will get this righted for you.... I'm so sad for you, though..... once they can get it tweaked and corrected, you'll be on the road to recovery. Being in the hospital this long has got to be a drag and I hope the staff is being kind to you. At least your complication was discovered before you went home! I am thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed for this fix to be your last hospital hurdle.
