I cannot get rid of the everyday gas I have in my stomach.  I can feel it moving around, and it is quite loud!

Before surgery, I would get this sometimes and my go to was to take several large gulps of soda.  I've sipped soda, but it wasn't enough.

Would gas-x or some over the counter meds help?

I've tried the walking and the heating pad, no relief.  I'm finally feeling pretty well except for the gas.

Help please!!!!

Thanks :)

I'm not where I want to be, but I am closer than I was yesterday!

I wish I could help.  I guess all I did that helped was burping.  I try and burp a lot while eating and drinking,

I'm glad that things are getting better for you!

Just have one of the local kids pull your finger, it always worked for my dad!

If it feels good, do it!  And if it smells good, eat it!

I have no advice, but I remember you posting about lactose intolerance the other day. I am lactose intolerant as well, and dairy gives me horrendous gas. Are you cutting back on the dairy?

What kind of protein powder or drinks are you drinking?

If it is not a whey protein isolate, then that could be the issue.  Whey protein isolate is basically lactose free and beyond that is used more quickly than other proteins.  If it is a Whey protein concentrate or a mix of proteins stop using those.  Proteins that get farther along in your system will break down and produce gas.  So obviously you want the proteins digested as quickly as possible hence using the Whey Protein Isolate.  Not to mention as i did before they tend to be lactose free or 99% lactose free.

Issue 2 could be that you are lactose intolerant.  If this is the case you would want to be using an almond milk ... I tend to go for the unsweetened vanilla versions.

Are you eating yogurt ... made from milk ... having lactose in it?  This again could be part of the issue.  Finally another issue is the amount of fiber you are getting.  Start tracking that.  See if adding or lessening the amount of fiber helps any.  Too much or too little seems to be an issue with gas and or constipation.  Kind of a tricky bugger to figure that one out.

Anyway these are just some thoughts on this.
