Cooking Corner - What do you do to your plain Greek Yogurt?

I have tried a couple of things with plain greek yogurt and I will list them below, but I would like to hear what you do with your plain greek yogurt before you eat it.

- This is my favorite: 1-2 tbsp of Smuckers Sugar Free Cherry Jam (might be preserves), 1 packet of stevia, mix. I sometimes add fiber one cereal to this at night if I need the extra fiber

- I have also done the above with sugar free strawberry jam, I think I had to add a little extra jam to get the flavor I was looking for

- 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder, mixed in the yogurt, throw in the freezer for 30 mins to make frozen yogurt

- Put on top of my baked potato with cheese and bacon and more cheese...oh wait I don't eat baked potatoes any more, sorry that was a flashback!

Keith- How did the frozen yogurt come out? I think greek yogurt tastes like sour cream so I haven't ventured far with it. I mix my dry ranch mix with it...Yum! Tastes like whole fat sour cream to me and I dont miss it. No one notices!

It was like frozen yogurt for the most part but a bit on the sour side. I remember thinking I would have to use some stevia if I ever tried it again.

I like the ranch dressing idea and eat it with some celery, cucumber, or zucchini slices.

I do plain yogurt with onion soup mix to make onion dip (with veggies, no Ruffles anymore!)...I prefer it made with 1/2 2%, half 0, makes it a bit creamier

I think it taste like sour cream as well. I love using the greek yogurt for savory dishes. I bought a canister of ranch dry mix and I add it to greek yogurt for a dip.

Ok, mouse is out on the GY!

How are you feeling today?

I'm sorry that really sucks! h.pylori!?!?!? after VSG? I mean I guess its possible, do you think you had it before surgery? I've been tested before but I haven't had one recently. I was told by an allergist that h.pylori could actually be the cause of weight gain. I didn't ask for the details because I thought she sounded full of it, but she seemed to have a theory and she was pretty sharp.

Well I hope you feel better, are you taking any probiotics after your round of antibiotics? Antibiotics kill all the good bacteria in your gut and you should replace them as quickly as possible.
